Singapore, July 23rd—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Sim Ann, Member of the Central Executive Committee of the People's Action Party (PAP) and Senior Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs of Singapore.

Liu said that last month, President Xi Jinping had a successful meeting with Prime Minister Lawrence Wong during the latter's visit to China, and made a strategic plan for deepening and developing bilateral relations. Sim Ann said, Singapore is willing to work with China to continue the positive momentum of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, promote continuous development of Singapore-China relations, reinvigorate multilateralism, and jointly maintain the stability of the international order. The PAP hopes to work with the CPC to deepen experience exchange in state governance and administration, better respond to the new demands of the people, and fulfill the governing missions of the two Parties.

The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.

Cao Zhongming, Chinese Ambassador to Singapore, and Murali Pillai, Senior Minister of State for Law and Transport, were present.
