Beijing, December 12th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Claude Wiseler, President of the Parliament of Luxembourg.

Liu said, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China and Luxembourg have always combined respective strengths and pursued open cooperation, forging a path of mutual benefit and win-win results. China appreciates Luxembourg's consistent adherence to the one-China principle. The CPC is willing to strengthen dialogue and exchanges with political parties in the Luxembourg Parliament on the basis of seeking common ground while reserving differences, mutual respect, and mutual learning, deepen communication of concept, enhance mutual understanding, and build consensus on cooperation, so as to contribute the strength of political parties to the sustained and healthy development of China-Luxembourg and China-Europe relations. Recently, the successful convening of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the Central Economic Work Conference has injected fresh impetus into China's development while bringing new opportunities to China-Luxembourg cooperation. China is willing to work with Luxembourg to strengthen the alignment of development strategies, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and better benefit the people of both countries.

Wiseler said, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Luxembourg and China more than 50 years ago, bilateral relations have always been based on the foundation of mutual respect and trust. Luxembourg has consistently adhered to and will continue to adhere to the one-China policy. Hailing the remarkable success of the Chinese modernization, Wiseler said Luxembourg is willing to explore more cooperation opportunities from China's recommendations for formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), deepening cooperation in areas such as finance, transportation and logistics, scientific and technological innovation, and green transformation. As a founding member of the European Union (EU), Luxembourg is willing to actively promote dialogue and communication between the EU and China, and jointly uphold multilateralism and free trade. All political parties in the Luxembourg Parliament share the same attitude on developing relations with China and are willing to strengthen inter-party exchanges and cooperation with China.
