Lu Kang Meets with Lisbet Zilmer-Johns, State Secretary for Foreign Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark

Beijing, June 6th—Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning at request with Lisbet Zilmer-Johns, State Secretary for Foreign Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.  


Lu said, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, China-Denmark relations enjoy good development momentum, and cooperation in various fields has been continuously expanded. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Danish side to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and the important outcomes of President Xi Jinping's visit to Europe, implement the Green Joint Work Programme between governments of China and Denmark for 2023-2026, strengthen cooperation in multilateral institutions such as the United Nations, achieve positive interactions between China-Denmark relations and China-European Union (EU) relations, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. The CPC attaches great importance to exchanges with major political parties of Denmark, and is willing to deepen inter-party exchanges between the two countries and consolidate the political foundation of China-Denmark relations.  

Lisbet Zilmer-Johns said, Denmark-China relations have maintained robust development momentum. The Danish side is willing to work with the Chinese side to expand practical cooperation in economy, trade, green transformation, etc., strengthen exchanges between political parties and youth, deepen dialogue and communication on major international and regional issues, and continuously promote the development of Denmark-China relations. The Danish side is willing to take the opportunity of taking over the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU next year to further advance exchanges and cooperation between the EU and China.
