Lu Kang Attends the U.S.-China Hong Kong Forum 2024

Hong Kong, November 15th—At the invitation of the China–United States Exchange Foundation, Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended here today the U.S.-China Hong Kong Forum 2024. During the High-Level Dialogue session, he delivered a keynote speech and engaged in discussions. 


Lu introduced the main spirit of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, stressing that China's goal of focusing on economic development, scientific and technological progress and realizing national rejuvenation has never changed, China's determination to firmly defend its core interests has never changed, China's commitment to safeguarding the existing international system and the framework of international order has never changed, and China's principled position on developing China-U.S. relations has never changed. Lu expressed the Chinese side's hope of working with the U.S. side to promote stable, healthy, and sustainable bilateral relations. 

On the sidelines of the forum, Lu met with the U.S. participants respectively and exchanged views on China-U.S. relations.

During his stay in Hong Kong, Lu also met with Chan Kwok-ki, Chief Secretary for Administration of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
