Beijing, November 12th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) led by Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles, former Chair of the CBBC and Sir Sebastian Wood, Chair of the CBBC. Peter Wilson, Ambassador of the UK to China, and others were present.

Ma briefed on the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. He said, the plenary session has made top-level designs and strategic plans for China's economic and social development in the next five years, which will inject new vitality into China-UK economic and trade cooperation. China is willing to work with the UK to continuously deepen practical cooperation in multiple fields such as finance, green energy, and high-tech, so as to achieve mutual benefit, win-win results, and common development.
The UK side said that the UK pays great attention to China's economic and social development plan for the next five years and is willing to work with China to expand new spaces for cooperation in areas such as education, finance, artificial intelligence, life sciences, and medical and health care, making new contributions to the economic development of both countries and enhancing the well-being of the two peoples.
