Shanghai, December 3rdJin Xin, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation of 24 scholars from 24 countries' think tanks.

Jin said, shortly after the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, scholars from multiple countries' think tanks came to China to conduct research on the theme of Chinese modernization and the responsibility of political parties, which was very timely. Against the backdrop of transformations unseen in a century, the world is becoming increasingly unstable and uncertain. As the ideological source and strategic advisor of political parties, think tanks should offer suggestions for political parties to adapt to complex changes and address risks and challenges. Think tanks should seek solutions to common problems and global challenges encountered in the modernization process and jointly create a bright future of opening up and prosperity.

The foreign scholars expressed their gratitude to the IDCPC for inviting them to visit China. They said, through this visit, they have witnessed the great achievements of Chinese modernization under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era, and they hope to deepen exchanges with the CPC on experience in state governance and administration and explore and move forward together on the path to modernization.
