Beijing, December 4th—Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation led by Ollie Shiell, CEO of the UK National Committee on China (UKNCC).

Lu positively evaluated the momentum of improvement and growth of China-UK relations, and elaborated on the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the relevant contents of the Recommendations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development. Lu said, China is willing to work with the UK to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and promote the continuous development of China-UK relations. It is hoped that the UKNCC will continue to play an active role.
Ollie Shiell and others said, the current UK-China relations are developing in a positive direction. The UKNCC is willing to strengthen communication and dialogue with China, promote exchanges and cooperation in such fields as economy, trade, culture, and artificial intelligence, and promote the development of bilateral relations.
The two sides also exchanged views on relevant international and regional issues.
